Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

- Survey Corps steed
Latest Free Story Addition
This update also brings the game's third free story episode, titled "The Enigma." This playful adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic skills: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
